Hello, I am Mavis Carolina Herrera
"When you have nothing, you have everything" and this is how I started Mavis by Herrera.
I am an entrepreneur, photographer, cyclist and a solo traveler. I am also a purpose driven leader, risk taker and enjoy living life with a meaningful purpose.
My passion is to inspire change through sustainability and regenerative business practice. When I am not at work, you can find me exploring unknown places. As a solo traveler, I've been fortunate enough to travel around the world- which made me realize how much waste and pollution we as humans are creating and hurting our planet.
I started Mavis by Herrera, because I needed to be part of the Plastic Pollution solution. Today, we make beautiful and ethical handbags from recycled and upcycled materials. Mavis by Herrera transforms plastic pollution into beauty and offset their carbon footprint while impacting lives.
