The Story Behind the Name
It was spring of 2017 when I went out for a run and ended up in the ICU. My heart was at 28bpm and my body wasn't responding. I was told that my heart rate was very low and could stop beating at any time. I spent a week in the ICU till my heart rate was more stable to go home.
That day my life changed forever and decided to start living life in the present and made a promise to myself:
"If today is going to be the last day of my life, it will be the best day of my life"
I left my corporate job, sold my car and started Mavis by Herrera with my own savings account and with full of purpose.
The name Mavis by Herrera is in honor to my grandma who is no longer in this planet. My grandma was a person who always believed in me and loved me just the way I am.
